With midterm elections now only weeks away, you can be certain that your stakeholders, members and/or advocates are searching the web for information on the upcoming election. Time better spent on other tasks is being wasted by your users on tracking down details and answering questions such as:
- When do I need to register to vote?
- How do I vote early or by absentee?
- What do I need to bring with me on election day?
- Who’s on the ballot in my district this fall?
Why not take this opportunity to build trust and reinforce thought leadership by providing this information and more all under your brand, all within your Engage site? Starting today, you’ll be able to do just that.
With the latest release of Engage, clients can now:
- Provide get-out-the-vote information
- Match users to candidates running for office in their district
- Target candidates with write-a-letter engagements
- Display detailed bios and endorsements of state and federal candidates
Elections are a great opportunity to provide not only information but value to your “customers.” Not only are you preparing stakeholders for the upcoming election and, if you so choose, displaying a list of candidates that your organization endorses, at the same time you’re also reinforcing your site and brand as the place to go to get the information your stakeholders need.
Even better, your organization could further capitalize on the elections this fall. Engage allows for your users to reach out to candidates, either asking them questions that necessitate their response or simply sending them a message that should they be elected, your your organization will be expecting a lot of them. (See Target candidates with write-a-letter engagements)
Get Out the Vote also provides an opportunity to gather more information about your most active users. Specifically, why not create a Petition engagement that asks users to “Pledge to Vote This November.” A simple interactive, this type of engagement can lead to even more information and data points about your membership. Not only will you have a list to email in the days leading up to the election, but you’ll also be able to further identify which users are the most engaged. It might even be a good opportunity to ask additional custom questions of your membership.
Whatever your GOTV goal, the Engage platform provides the tools you need to further your cause, whether that simply be to provide information to your “constituents,” or gather more information for your Engagement Ladder.
